Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the critically acclaimed director of The Lunchbox, Ritesh Batra’s movie.
According to an IndianExpress report, Kangana will do Batra’s film in March after she wraps up her mega project Jhansi Ki Rani. “She loved the script that Ritesh narrated to her and is really looking forward to it,” added the report.
There were also reports claiming that actor Irrfan Khan would pair up with the director again after their successful project, The Lunchbox. However, the actor denied the claims saying, “I am not aware of this. Maybe someone suggested that this is possible and people talked about it, and it must’ve leaked from there and got published. We haven’t had any discussion, nor any talks about it.”
Earlier this year, Irrfan Khan and Kangana Ranaut were supposed to work together in the movie Divine Lovers. But the actress walked out of the project, citing date issues. In response to that, actor Irrfan Khan jokingly replied, “Kangana has gone so out of reach that I will work with her only if I wish to be a heroine. So, if a script comes along wherein she plays the hero and I the heroine, I will do it”. Taking it in good humour, Kangana responded, “He always teases me. He had once told me two swords could never stay in the same sheath. I couldn’t understand it. But I would like to work with Irrfan regardless of whatever role is offered to me”.
The two actors were last seen together in Anurag Basu’s 2007 film Life in a Metro.
