Director Thamira has roped in actor Samuthirakani for his next project, a family drama. Titled Aan Devathai, the movie has Ramya Pandian playing the female lead. The actress confirmed the project on her Twitter account.

In an interview to Deccan Chronicle, the director said, “In the era of globalisation, and the rise of multinational corporations — everything from the things we wear, to the mobile networks we use is decided by them. How the present situation affects the harmony of a family and the predicaments that are created by globalisation forms the crux of the tale.”
The director said that the movie traces the journey of the characters who learn to appreciate and savour life in all it glory.

Ramya Pandian told Silverscreen.in, “I play actor Samuthirakani’s wife in the movie. Similar to Joker, the movie also conveys an important message to the society.” Recently, Ramya had earned praises for her performance in the film Joker.
The film will have music scored by Ghibran. Vijay Milton will be handling the camera, Kasi Viswanathan will be doing the editing, and Jack will handle art direction. The movie is scheduled to start shooting by the end of this month.
Thamira’s last directorial venture was Rettai Suzhi. A former associate of late director K.Balachander, he brought together veteran directors K.Balachander and Bharathiraja onscreen in Rettai Suzhi.
