Director Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen playing a special cameo in Dhanush’s directorial debut Power Paandi. Dhanush will also be seen in a cameo in the film as the younger version of the protagonist, Rajkiran.
The announcement about the film came on the 7 September, and the first look poster had Rajnkiran and a few older actors dressed in biking gear.
The poster drew many comments for its similarities with the Hollywood film Wild Hogs starring John Travolta.
Dhanush then clarified that the film is about ageing stuntmen. Sean Roldon is composing the music for the film and Velraj is the cinematographer. Sources say that Dhanush had the idea of Power Paandi for nearly eight years and he recently gave the bound script of the film to his elder brother Selvaraghavan for his opinion. Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, Power Paandi also has Prasanna and Chaya Singh playing important roles.
Meanwhile, the final schedule of Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta starring Dhanush and Megha Akash is yet to be completed, and Gautham Menon plans to wrap the film up by the end of the year.
