The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena today said it would intensify its opposition to Karan Johar’s soon-to-be-released film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as it features Pakistani actors. It issued a veiled threat that they would vandalise the multiplexes if they screened it.

“We will oppose the screening of the movie everywhere in the state. If any multiplex operator dares to screen the film, they (operators) should remember that multiplexes are decorated with expensive glass sheets,” MNS leader Amey Khopkar said.

Ammani is an interesting film which breaks a few stereotypes. It challenges the monolithic portrayal of poverty and desperation. Just like Kaakka Muttai and Aandavan KattalaiAmmani makes a point – without being too preachy.
