Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 has received three nominations at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been nominated for the ‘Best Performance By An Actor’ category, Jay Oza for the ‘Achievement In Cinematography’ category, while Anurag Kashyap has been nominated for the ‘Achievement In Direction’ category.
According to its official website, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards is the ‘region’s highest accolade given in recognition of outstanding and innovative work in the field of cinema’. The 10th edition of the award ceremony will be held on 24 November in Brisbane, Australia.
Director Anurag Kashyap said that it ‘felt good’ to be appreciated by the Asia Pacific Awards team. “It feels good to see the film getting appreciated at Asia Pacific Awards. With the kind of competition there I am extremely happy for Nawaz, as he worked very hard on the role and Jay too, since it was extremely difficult to shoot in the conditions,” Anurag said.

Raman Raghav 2.0 is a psychological thriller inspired by the life of notorious serial killer Raman Raghav who operated in Mumbai during the mid-1960s. Nawazuddin essayed the character of protagonist Raman in the movie, and went on to receive much acclaim for his performance.
Actor Vicky Kaushal played the role of Raghav, a cop assigned to investigate the serial killings.

The film, produced by Kashyap’s Phantom Productions, was released on 24 June this year.
