Ragava Lawrence will star in a remake of Rajinikanth’s 1982 classic Moondru Mugam. The original film starred Rajinikanth in a triple role. It showcased the life of a tough, no-nonsense cop Alex Pandian, whose forthright ways eventually get him killed. Rajinikanth as Alex Pandian became an iconic hero, and the film went on to acquire cult status.
Speaking to Silverscreen, Ragava Lawrence said, “I am an ardent fan of Rajinikanth sir. I try to meet him whenever I can. Growing up, I loved his attitude, style and acting in Moondru Mugam. When the opportunity came by to act in such a film, and that too as the character I loved, I couldn’t wait to say ‘Yes!’ This is a dream come true for me.”
