Actress Rambha has moved a family court in Chennai seeking sole custody of her children. Earlier this year, the actress had filed a petition in which she’d asked the court to reunite her with her estranged husband, who lives in Canada.
At the time, Rambha had said that she would like to live with her husband Indran Pathmanathan, a Canada-based businessman, whom she married in April 2010. The couple have two children and have been living separately for some time now.

In her latest petition, Rambha has alleged that her husband had not disclosed to her that he had been formerly married to Dushyanthi Selvavinayakam. The actress also alleged that her husband’s family had caused her suffering. She was made to stay away from her children after her husband filed a petition in a court in Canada. Her parental rights were subsequently restored after she filed a petition in a superior court.
In her current petition, Rambha says she now wants sole custody as her husband had refused to support children’s educational and medical expenses. The actress further states that Indran had returned to Canada, and had ceased all contact with her and her family.
The case has been postponed to 21 January 2017.
