Singam III will release this January 26. The makers of the film have initiated talks with distributors to ensure that it gets a wide release ahead of the Republic Day weekend. If this release date is fixed, Singam 3 will go head-to-head with SRK’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil.

The film, starring Suriya and Anushka Shetty, was initially scheduled to release on December 16. It was delayed, and a new date of December 23 was announced. Reports indicate that the project had been certified U/A, a prospect that the makers did not find appealing. With this certificate, the team behind this Suriya film cannot apply for tax exemption. In the long run, this is sure to make a dent on the film’s box office revenue. To avoid this, the film’s team asked for a review committee to revise the decision.
