Katthi Sandai star Vishal Krishna has filed a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office after receiving back-to-back abusive phone calls from unknown persons. The phone calls began after a website published an article falsely quoting Vishal speaking ill of Tamilians.

The complaint has been lodged by V Harikrishnan, a representative of the fans’ Association, on Vishal’s behalf. The erroneous report that appeared on a website quoted Vishal saying that Tamils were lazy people who liked to line up before TASMAC shops. Vishal subsequently received three calls where unknown persons quoted back his supposed statements from the report.
The complaint states that Vishal has the highest regard for Tamils and that the erroneous article was published to malign the actor’s public image. Vishal is now seeking action against the people spreading false reports and rumors about him.
Meanwhile, he is currently awaiting the release of Thupparivalan, Irumbu Thirai, and Sandakozhi 2.
