Directors Samuthirakani and Karu Palaniappan have expressed anger over Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi’s recent comments. Aadhi had said that he was disheartened with the way the Jallikattu protests had shaped up. The music composer had reportedly witnessed instances of violence during the otherwise peaceful protests at Marina.
Aadhi’s comments have been met with mixed opinions.
Samuthirakani has asked Aadhi to not create confusion at a time when the protests are going on in a peaceful manner.
“Aadhi’s comments have created confusion and trouble in the minds of the youngsters protesting against PETA and the Jallikattu ban. I’d like to ask Aadhi to please remain silent. Please, Aadhi, do not let your words run free. They are disturbing the minds of the young men who’re protesting.”
Karu Palaniappan has also criticised Aadhi.
“These students are not protesting because of you. These protests are a reflection of the deep seated anger and hate created by the recent events in Tamil Nadu. And so, it doesn’t matter if you are protesting along with them or not. You did not ask them to be here. So, if you have issues, please sort it out yourself. Do not voice them, for this will create trouble in the minds of youngsters who look to you for advice.”
Meanwhile, Aadhi has requested the protestors to make sure their decisions are guided by a politically neutral, rational person.
