Actress Abhinaya of Naadodigal and Easan fame makes her Bollywood debut with Dhanush’s Shamitabh. Abhinaya flew to Mumbai recently to shoot with Dhanush and Akshara Haasan. Speaking to a daily, Abhinaya’s father, Anand Varma revealed that she was chosen because the makers were impressed with her performance in Tamil films. Abhinaya has completed a few days of shoot, and will fly to Mumbai again soon. The actress plays an integral role in Shamitabh.
Directed by Balki, the film features actors Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in lead roles, while Ilaiyaraaja composes music.
