Jack Nicholson & Kristen Wiig To Star In Toni Erdmann Remake

Veteran actor Jack Nicholson will star opposite Kristen Wiig in the English language remake of Toni Erdmann. Toni Erdmann is a German-Austrian comedy-drama which has been nominated in the Best Foreign Language film category at this year’s Academy Awards. 

The film is based on the life of a father who tries to connect with his workaholic daughter, after years. Nicholson will play the role of the father while Wiig plays the daughter.

Paramount Pictures recently acquired the rights for the movie.

Nicholson, who is 79, has won Oscars for Terms of Endearment, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and As Good as It Gets. His last film was How Do You Know in 2010, following which he has been on a self-imposed retirement from movies. 

Kristen Wiig was last seen in the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters. She is also starring in Alexandre Payne’s Downsizing, along with Matt Damon.
