Katrina Kaif will soon launch her own production house, which will also mark her sister Isabel’s debut in Bollywood, reports the Mumbai Mirror. While it was earlier reported that actor Salman Khan would be launching her sister, a source said that Katrina would be doing it instead.
“Katrina and Salman discuss films extensively and are like family to each other. She has shown interest in venturing into film production soon, and has been reading scripts and discussing films with her close director friends as well. If there’s anyone who’ll launch her sister in a big Bollywood production, it’ll be Katrina herself,” the source was quoted as saying.

Incidentally, when BollywoodLife had interviewed the actress two years ago about her sister’s debut, the actress said that she wouldn’t be entering the industry anytime soon. “She is right now working in the English film industry. She has just done a film called Dr Cabbie, and I believe it has done extremely well in Canada. Also, she has formal training in acting – so that way she doesn’t need training from me… if she comes here, then yes, it will be great. Because I know a lot of people here. Over there, I can help her only a certain extent…the scope is limited,” she had said.
Actresses Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma also have their own production houses. Priyanka Chopra’s production house, Purple Pebble Pictures, was started in 2015 and focuses on regional cinema while Anushka Sharma’s production house, Clean Slate Films, began in 2014 and made the 2015 film NH10. Sharma’s next film is Phillauri in which she stars alongside Diljith Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma.
