Popular Malayalam playback singer, Vaikkom Vijayalakshmi has called off her wedding to Bahrain-based Malayali, Santhosh. The reason given by the 35-year-old singer’s parents were some of the ‘conditions’ put forth by Santhosh.

A report in TOI states the singer’s father as saying, “Yes, we have cancelled the wedding. It is better to say a ‘no’ in the beginning than regretting later.”
The couple were set to tie the knot at Vaikkom Mahadeva Temple between 9 am and 11.30 am on March 29. The match came through an online matrimonial portal, and the singer had stated in advance that she would be continuing her career post-marriage.
