Actress Bhavana recently got engaged to Kannada film producer and long-time beau, Naveen. The private ceremony went public as a picture of the couple – along with Malayalam actors Manju Warrier and Samyuktha Verma – leaked online.
The Honey Bee 2 actress spoke to a Malayalam publication on having a hush-hush ceremony. “Naveen and his family had come home as part of their tradition of seeing the bride. Everyone in both families was present and it was decided immediately to turn it into a ring-exchange ceremony. That’s how it happened and the function was held in my house itself,” she said, adding: “The ceremony was supposed to be kept under wraps and went public thanks to the picture leak.”
The couple have known each other for close to five years now, and their wedding had been postponed twice due to the demise of family members. Naveen lost his mother and the actress, her father a few years ago. The couple are looking forward to having a simple wedding in August.

Bhavana and Naveen met on the sets of the Kannada movie, Romeo in 2012. Naveen was the producer of the movie while Bhavana was the female lead. Since then, reports of the two in a relationship have been doing the rounds.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old actress is busy completing the shoot of the Prithviraj starrer, Adam, in Malayalam and will join the sets of a Kannada film mid-March. Her next release is Honey Bee 2 which will hit the screens on March 23.
