Viacom 18, the co-producers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, have said that the film will release as per schedule in November 2017. According to earlier reports, the film had been pushed to a 2018 release. The period drama, which stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, has been jointly produced by Bhansali Pictures and Viacom 18.
Earlier, the sets of the movie were vandalised by the Rajasthan-based outfit Karni Sena, once in January while the team was shooting in Jaipur, and again in March in Kolhapur.

As per a Deccan Chronicle report via PTI, the production house issued the following statement: “Padmavati is not postponed. Not shifting to 2018 either. It will release on November 17, 2017.”
Padmavati also stars Shahid Kapoor in a pivotal role as King Rana Rawal Ratan Singh.
