Director Steven Spielberg’s next movie is based on the Pentagon Papers incident, and will see actors Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep together for the first time. As per a report, the movie titled The Post will release to a select audience on December 22, 2017.

The movie revolves around the role of Washington Post in publishing the study about America’s accountability in the Vietnam war. Tom Hanks will be reprising the role of the Post editor, Ben Bradlee, and Streep would be seen as Kay Graham, the publisher. The Post will mark the much-awaited collaboration between the versatile actors for the first time.
The director has previously worked with Streep on A1, and has done a couple of movies with Hanks which includes the 2015 drama film, Bridge of Spies.
The Post has been written by Liz Hannah, and was picked by Amy Pascal to produce under her banner, Pascal Pictures.
