Actor Sivakumar has reportedly donated his house in T Nagar to Agaram Foundation, the educational NGO started by his son Suriya Sivakumar. The family, meanwhile, plans on shifting to a much bigger house called ‘Lakshmi Illam’.

Established on September 25, 2006, the foundation aims to provide quality education to underprivileged students. Actor Sivakumar has been involved in charity work for decades now, honouring school toppers from rural areas and providing financial assistance to poor students through his Sivakumar Education Trust ,from 1979.

It is believed that the T Nagar house was the same place where his children – Suriya, Karthi, Brinda – got married. The actor is said to have bought the property at the height of his career, decades ago.
