“This is my third film as director. So, I am trying out a new way to cement my place in the industry. My mentor AR Murugadoss suggested Vijay Sethupathi for my latest project, and we’ve initiated talks.”
Thirukumaran debuted with Maan Karate in 2014. He followed it up with the Udhayanidhi Stalin – Amy Jackson starrer, Gethu. Both films were average grossers at the box office, and received mixed reviews from critics.
At present, Vijay Sethupathi is hard at work on his Karuppan. Following this, he will begin work on cinematographer Prem Kumar’s 96 with Trisha Krishnan.
