Telugu comedian DV Naidu has accused a junior artist of assault. Naidu has filed a case with the Jubilee Hills Police, and an investigation has been launched.
According to a DC report, Naidu said that the artist came into his house at Jubilee Hills and beat him up for no specific reason. The Jubilee Hills Police have identified the attacker as Rajkumar alias Ramu. The artist is said to be playing the role of a villian in Rana Dagubbati’s next, Nene Raju Nene Mantri.
While the comedian refused to talk about the reason behind the assault, reports indicate that financial issues might be the cause.
Jubilee Hills police inspector S. Venkat Reddy said, “Apparently, Naidu owed Rs 5 lakh to Rajkumar, who came to Naidu’s house to demand the money back. Then there was some altercation. We have started an inquiry into the complaint lodged by Naidu.”
