Inder Kumar, who has starred in many of Salman Khan’s films such as Wanted, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge and Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, died following a cardiac arrest at around 2 am on Friday at his Andheri home. He was 43.
The actor, who hailed from Rajasthan, made his acting debut in Masoom (1996), which co-starred Ayesha Jhukla, Tinu Anand and Suresh Oberoi.
He was unsuccessful as a lead actor and moved on to supporting roles in various films, including Tirchhi Topiwale (1998), Kunwara (2000), Baaghi (2000) and Maa Tujhe Salaam (2002). He also briefly played Mihir Virani in Ekta Kapoor’s mega serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2002.
He was part of Phati Padi Hai Yaar, a film that is under production.
Inder Kumar faced arrest in 2014 after a woman accused him of raping and assaulting her. The actor insisted that they were in a consensual relationship, and he was granted bail later that year. He is survived by his wife Pallavi Saraf.
Indian Express reports that the cremation will take place at Yaari Road, Shamshaan Bhoomi today.
