Actor and TFPC President Vishal has apparently been sent death threats via WhatsApp. His associates have consequently registered a complaint with the police.

Maalai Malar reports that producers Manimaran and Abdul Shaheel have met the Commissioner of Police, Chennai at his office in Vepery, and complained that Producer Council’s President Vishal’s life was threatened. In the complaint they state that they received messages via WhatsApp that claim to either grievously hurt and mutilate Vishal, or kill him.
The two have requested the police to discover the source of these messages, and the person responsible for the death threats.
The Chennai Cyber Crime Cell has also been notified for further investigations.
