Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming Tamil action film Mersal will be the first south Indian film to get an emoji on Twitter.
Vijay took to Twitter to introduce the world to the new emoji, following the footsteps of Salman Khan before Tubelight‘s release.

Directed by Atlee, Mersal features Vijay in a triple role – as a Panchayat head, a doctor and a magician. His Panchayat head avatar has been turned into an emoji character.
Slated to hit the screens this Diwali, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and SJ Suryah.
The film’s audio launch is scheduled to take place on Sunday.
