Shivada Nair has signed on to act in Aruvi opposite Chandru. The actress is currently working on the horror film Zero opposite Ashwin Kakumanu and is really excited about having back-to-back projects. Speaking to us, she said, “after the appreciation I got for Nedunchalai, I have been receiving many offers. But I chose movies that will entertain and make people think as well. With Aruvi, I’m exploring a new genre – romantic comedy, and I hope it works out well.”

Shivada was part of the film’s pooja ceremony held recently.
Kalsan Movies, which is producing Pencil and Maane Thaene Peye, is bankrolling this project because of its ‘refreshing and unique story-line’. Said the spokesperson, “we zeroed in on this script because it fit our criteria – fresh, with instant appeal. Shooting will begin sometime in November as Pencil would wrap up only then. Casting is still underway and we’re planning on getting some well known faces to essay some crucial roles.”
