Thiruttuppayale 2, Karu trailer out
Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale 2‘s trailer is out, featuring Bobby Simha as a cop, Amala Paul, and Prasanna in the lead. The film is being billed as an erotic thriller and a sequel to the first film Thiruttu Payale that released in 2006.
Apart from its lead actors, the film’s cast also includes Sanam Shetty, Vivekh and Robo Shankar in supporting roles. Vidyasagar is the composer for this one, and the film is being bankrolled by AGS Entertainment.
Karu’s trailer was out too recently, featuring Sai Pallavi in a rather serious role. The film also marks her debut in Tamil films. Naga Shourya plays the male lead, with RJ Balaji in a crucial role, Nirav Shah handles the cinematography while Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions finances the project.
The film will essentially be about a mother’s bond with her four-year-old daughter, and will also touch upon the issue of abortion. The trailer revealed that there’s also a horror element in it, with music by Sam CS.
First-look of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mere Pyarey Prime Minister and Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2 out
Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra shared the first look of his next venture – Mere Pyarey Prime Minister. The poster features a woman (Anjali Patil) cuddling a child while they pose in front of a sketch of toilet for women.

Directed by Mehra, the film reportedly revolves around four kids living in a Mumbai slum. One of the kids wants to build a toilet for his mother and thus makes an appeal to the Prime Minister.
Another film had its first-look out – Student Of The Year 2, featuring the ‘new student’ Tiger Shroff.

The film is being directed by Punit Malhotra who is best known for directing I Hate Luv Stories and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra.
In the sequel, the two female leads are Disha Patani and Ananya Pandey, and the project is bankrolled by Johar’s Dharma Movies.
Jeffrey Tambor exits Transparent after sexual harassment allegations surface

Jeffrey Tambor, who played Maura Pfefferman on the Amazon series Transparent has exited the series soon after sexual harassment allegations against the actor surfaced. In a statement released to Variety, the actor said that while he feels privileged to have acted in the series, it no longer views to be the work he had signed up for four years ago.
“I’ve already made clear my deep regret if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being aggressive, but the idea that I would deliberately harass anyone is simply and utterly untrue. Given the politicised atmosphere that seems to have afflicted our set, I don’t see how I can return to Transparent,” he said.
The actor has been accused of sexually harassing his assistant, a trans woman named Van Barnes. Furthermore, Trace Lysette, who joined the show as a guest star, opened up about the actor behaving inappropriately with her.
The series’ team has reportedly begun on working how the show run after Tambor’s exit.
Lena Dunham apologises for defending Girls writer who was accused of sexual misconduct
Actress Lena Dunham, who had initially defended one of the writers from the show Girls who is accused of sexual assault, has come out with a statement apologising for doing so. Having received flak for defending someone who may or may not have sexually assaulted someone, the actress was quick enough to retract her statements by saying how “every woman who comes forward deserves to be heard, fully and completely”.
Dunham had been widely criticised when she had “categorically and vehemently” denied the allegations made against Murray Miller by actor Aurora Perrineau, who accused Miller of raping her in 2012 when she was 17.
In her statement, she further added how every person should be heard equally.
