Mohini, starring Trisha, features a woman who was killed and how she exacts her revenge. A horror film, Mohini marks Trisha’s third venture in the genre after Aranmanai and Nayagi. Far from her girl-next-door image, Trisha plays a woman whose body dies but not her soul.
Directed by R Madesh of Vijay-starrer Madurai fame, the film also has her play dual roles. Apart from Trisha, the film stars Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani, Yogi Babu, Suresh, and Poornima Bhagyaraj. The movie has been shot in London, Mexico, and Thailand. The music is composer-duo, Vivek Shiva and Mervin Solomon of Vadacurry fame. Cinematography will be handled by R B Gurudev of Kanchana 2 fame.
There have been reports that said the movie has roped in the Harry Potter technical team to work on the visual effects.
