Shraddha and Shahid have been cast together in the social drama-comedy, Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The movie is a satire on the electricity cuts and the corruption in the electricity boards.
Shraddha and Shahid, have started shooting for it in Uttarakhand, as the movie is set against the backdrop of life in a small town.
Recently, the makers of the film released some behind-the-camera photos of Shraddha and Shahid on their official Instagram account.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha fame, the film also stars Yami Gautam. In these pictures, Shahid is back to his boy-next-door looks, which he hadn’t sported for a long time. His roles in Haider, Rangoon and Padmaavat demanded more serious and matured looks and the actor had made sure that he got into the skin of the characters. Currently, the team is shooting in Tehri, Uttarakhan. The movie is aiming for a release in the second half of 2018.
