Malayalam superstar Mammootty is in talks with Telugu director Mahi V Raghav for the role of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. According to the latest report, Nayanthara will be a part of the political biopic.
It was earlier reported that Raghav met the star in Kerala to discuss the character of YSR. The biopic will be titled as Yatra. Raghav, who made his directorial debut with the 2014 Telugu film Paathshala, directed the horror-comedy hit Anando Brahma last year.
YS Rajasekhara Reddy was elected as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh twice and was killed in a helicopter crash in 2009.

Mammootty and Nayanthara have previously teamed up for a few movies like Rapakal, Bhaskar The Rascal, Thaskaraveeran, and was last seen in Puthiya Niyamam.
Mammootty had previously worked in Telugu movies like Swathi Kiranam – directed by legendary filmmaker K. Vishwanath, Surya Putrulu and Railway Coolie.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is busy shooting for his upcoming film Abrahaminte Santhathikal and waiting for the release of Parole and Peranb in Tamil. Nayanthara, on the other hand, was last seen in Aramm has the movie Imaikkaa Nodigal releasing this summer.
