The teaser of Neerali, starring Mohanlal, is out. Mohanlal’s character Sunny George is from Mumbai. In the teaser, he is seen driving around the city and the outskirts with Suraj Venjaranmoodu’s character.
Sunny receives a call from his wife (Nadiya Moidu) which sends the two friends on a nostalgia trip elevated by the evergreen Malayalam song ‘Aayiram Kannum Aayi’ playing in the background. Incidentally, the original song from the film Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu, features Mohanlal and Nadhiya Moidu in lead roles.
Towards the end of the teaser, the road trip ends in a horrible accident, as Suraj Venjaranmoodu’s character is seen unconscious with their vehicle on the edge of a cliff.

Mohanlal, who was working simultaneously in both Neerali and Odiyan, wrapped up Neerali in a short span of time. The film is directed by Ajoy Varma, and also stars Parvati Nair, Sai Kumar and Dileesh Pothan. The film has been shot in Mumbai, Pune and parts of Sri Lanka.
Bankrolled by Santhosh T Kurivila under the banner of Moonshot Entertainment, the film is co-produced by John Thomas and Mibu Jose. Songs are composed by Stephen Devassy and background music is by Ronnie Raphael. Mohanlal who is currently working in Ranjith’s directorial Oru Bilathi Katha, previously wrapped up the shoot of the mystery-thriller, Odiyan.
