According to The Times Of India, the film is set to hit the screens on September 13 this year. The film’s shooting, which began a year-and-half ago, was finally completed in June. The film’s cast and crew threw a farewell party to commemorate the same.
The film will star Samantha Akkineni as the female lead; this is her first film with Sivakarthikeyan. Expected to be an action-comedy-drama, the film is produced by 24 AM Studios. It also stars Napoleon, Simran, Soori, Yogi Babu, Manobala and Sathish. There are reports that Keerthy Suresh might also play a cameo.
The first-look poster, where the actor is seen sitting on a horse holding a flag, was released earlier this year.
D Imman, who is the music composer for the film, will introduce folk singer Senthil Ganesh, also the winner of the talent show Vijay Super Singer Season 6, through this movie.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan has already began shooting for his next film with director Ravi Kumar of Netru Indru Naalai fame. Pegged to be a science fiction, the film will be made on a big budget and is expected to release next year. He would also team up with director M Rajesh for a comedy drama, staring Nayanthara in the lead. The film is slated to go on the floors later this year.
On his choice of roles, Sivakarthikeyan had earlier told Silverscreen, “My first love is entertaining people, whatever the medium. Nothing else really matters. Yes, there’s a high when you read a good script; you know that you will be made to put in more than your best… I’m very particular about not repeating genres without some gap in between.”
