Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has announced his debut web series with Zee5 called The Final Call. It will be based on author Priya Kumar’s book I Will Go With You: The Flight of a Lifetime.
In a statement to the press, he said, “This story is special and you will see me in a very different avatar. We just wrapped up our first shoot schedule in Kashmir and I cannot wait to present the final product to the viewers.”
He also tweeted saying it was “a story that will change the way you see your own life, forever.”

This is the first time a Zee5 series is being adapted from a book. Aparna Acharekar, Programming Head of ZEE5 India told The News, “What excited us the most about The Final Call was the originality of the story. It is unlike anything we have ever heard or seen before. While the book was extremely well received, we are quite certain that the show will have its fans too.”
The First Call is based on Priya Kumar’s book, and is about four passengers on a flight, and all that they go through when the pilot decides to kill himself on board risking everyone’s life.
The director, cast and rest of the team are yet to be announced. Series releases early in 2019.
Since November last year, Arjun Rampal has had the film Nastik under production. It was shot in different parts of Jharkand, with high CRPF security. Arjun plays the role of an atheist whose perspective of life gets changed by a little girl. Harshala who acted as Munni in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, plays the little girl. It was earlier reported that actor Dhivya Dutta will also be cast in the film.
