Shoot for the Vikram and Akshara Haasan-starrer Kadaram Kondan, directed by Rajesh M. Selva, recently wrapped up. According to latest updates, the film might hit screens in April and a teaser will be unveiled on January 15 (Pongal day).
The team is reportedly left with one song and some patch work before they can finish the film. In November they wrapped a month long schedule in Malaysia. They also had a gala dinner to celebrate the completion of their last two schedules in Malaysia and Chennai.

If reports are to be believed, Kadaram Kondan will be an action-packed ride. It will also look at Tamil history dating back to the Chola dynasty, and might be like Aayirathil Oruvan.
Music for the film is composed by M Ghibran. It is produced by Kamal Hassan under Raaj Kamal Films International, and stars Akshara Haasan as the female lead. The first-look poster featured a tattooed Vikram with grey beard, cooling glasses, and a hand-cuff.

The producer also shared the film’s second look poster recently. It had a silhouette of the Petronas Twin Towers and the word Kadaram – a region in Malaysia that was previously ruled by a Chola king. This hinted that the parts of the film might be set in Malaysia. The actor was seen in a cop uniform in this poster.
Actor Vikram also awaits the release of the much delayed spy-thriller Dhruva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Menon. He will star in the ambitious Mahavir Karna, by the Malayalam director RS Vimal. Reports have speculated that he might be roped in for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selavan, a long delayed ambitious project by the director.
