Goa released nine years back on this day. It was Venkat Prabhu’s third directorial, with nine tracks composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The seven that featured in the film were upbeat and brought alive this story about friends who go to Goa and find love. The best and the most popular was ‘Idhu Varai’ where Andrea Jeremiah sings for Pia Bajpai, a club singer in the film. Her lover Jai, and all of us, stop everything to listen to her. Ajeesh later sings Jai’s part but is soon silenced by Andrea. The highs linger well after she finishes her parts on a crescendo, and instruments take over.
