Suriya’s film with director Sudha Kongara, of Irudhi Suttru fame, will be produced by the actor’s home banner – 2D Entertainment. The movie, based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, is expected to go on floors soon. Lyricist Vivek will be part of the film, and had also tweeted about it. GV Prakash is reportedly the music composer of the film.
Meanwhile, Suriya will be working with director Hari for the sixth time, after Vel, Aaru, Singam, Singam 2 and Singam 3. While it was expected that the actor-director duo would collaborate for the next in the Singam franchise, it is now reported that their upcoming film is titled Yaanai, a cop drama, produced by AVM Studios.
Suriya will be seen as a senior official in the film. The makers will plan sequels if the film is successful like the Singam series.
