Telugu actor Adivi Sesh, who was undertaking treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad after contracting dengue, has returned home and is recuperating.
The actor announced this on social media on Monday. “Back home. Rest & Recuperation,” the actor tweeted.
Sesh was admitted to the hospital in mid-September after he complained of a high fever. The actor was subsequently diagnosed with dengue. A source in the know, on condition of anonymity, told Silverscreen India, “He was taking treatment at AIG hospital in Hyderabad and his health started to improve a couple of days after his admission on September 18. His platelet count also increased and he was subsequently discharged on Saturday.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sesh will next be seen in the upcoming biographical action drama Major, in which he will be portraying the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
As per the source, filming was completed in August and post-production is currently underway. Major, which was slated to release on July 2, has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A new release date is yet to be announced. “With the ticket prices capped in Andhra Pradesh, the makers are planning for a big, pan-Indian release, so it might take time for them to announce the release date. Also, parts of Andhra Pradesh, like Vizag, have been affected by a cyclone with red alerts issued, which further complicates matters,” the source added.
