Ananya Panday, actor and daughter of actor Chunky Panday, has been summoned once again for questioning on October 25 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in relation to the cruise ship drug bust case in which Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan, was taken into custody on October 3.
Panday had earlier appeared before the NCB on Thursday and again on Friday.
According to a report in ANI, during the questioning on Thursday, Panday denied the allegations of supplying and consuming drugs. “The chats recovered from Aryan Khan’s mobile phone reveal that in the year 2018-19, she helped supply drugs to Aryan thrice by providing him the numbers of drug dealers, ” NCB sources told ANI.
Earlier on Thursday, some NCB officials had arrived at Panday’s house.
Speaking about her summoning and the probe, an NCB officer had told the media, “The investigation is going on. When NCB officials visit a person or location for questioning that does not mean the person is a culprit or being investigated. There are several procedures being followed,” The Times of India reported.
Khan’s bail plea was rejected by a Special NDPS court on Wednesday and his lawyers have filed for a fresh application in the Bombay High Court. The matter will be heard on October 26.
