Ananya Panday, actor and daughter of actor Chunky Panday, was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday in relation to the cruise ship drug bust case in which Aryan Khan was taken into custody on October 3.
Earlier in the day, some NCB officials had arrived at Panday’s house.
Speaking about Panday’s summoning and the probe, an NCB officer told the media, “The investigation is going on. When NCB officials visit a person or location for questioning that does not mean the person is a culprit or being investigated. There are several procedures being followed,” The Times of India reported.
The NCB had earlier on Wednesday submitted alleged drug-related WhatsApp chats between Khan and a debut female actor before his bail hearing.
Apart from Panday, some other officers of the agency also visited actor Shah Rukh Khan‘s house on Thursday. “NCB team visited Shah Rukh Khan’s residence to collect some documents related to Aryan Khan. No raids were conducted at Mannat,” Wankhede told the media, according to ANI.
Shah Rukh Khan, earlier in the day, was seen visiting his son at the Arthur Road jail.
Aryan Khan’s bail plea was rejected by a Special NDPS court on Wednesday and his lawyers have filed for a fresh application in the Bombay High Court. The matter will be heard on October 26.
