After much speculation, the marriage of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif on Thursday was confirmed when the actors took to their official Instagram handles to make the announcement and share pictures from the ceremony.
“Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment. Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together,” Kaif and Kaushal wrote on Instagram.
As soon as the couple made the announcement, good wishes and congratulatory messages from the film industry flooded social media.
Actor Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram stories, reposted the couple’s photo and shared her well wishes. She also revealed that they will be her neighbours soon. “Congratulations to both you beautiful people! Wishing you guys a lifetime of togetherness, love and understanding. Also glad you are finally married so that now you can move into your house soon and we can stop hearing construction sounds.”
Commenting on Kaif’s photo, actor Priyanka Chopra wrote, “So happy for you! Mere yaar ki shaadi hai (It’s my friend’s wedding)! Congratulations both of you! You’re perfect together.” Her husband Nick Jonas also commented, “Congrats!”
Alia Bhatt too commented on Kaif’s post and wrote, “Oh my god, you guys look so so so so beautiful,” while Kareena Kapoor Khan also expressed her happiness over the news.
Preity Zinta reacted to the photo and wrote, “Wish you both loads of love, happiness, togetherness and joy as you embark on this new journey together. Welcome to the married club.”
Deepika Padukone also wished the couple a “lifetime of love, laughter, loyalty, respect, and companionship!”
Director Karan Johar posted a photo of the couple on his Instagram page and wrote, “Wish you both decades of abundant joy and eternal happiness… All my love and best energies coming your way…”
The wedding was a close-knit affair at Rajasthan’s Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur district, with only family and select friends in attendance. Several celebrities like Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur were seen making their way to the venue to attend the wedding.
