Actor Nora Fatehi, who was earlier questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the Rs 200 crore money laundering case, is likely to turn a prosecution witness in the case against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, India Today reported.
The ED is probing the case based on a First Information Report (FIR) filed by Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and others over alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, and extortion of about Rs. 200 crore. The agency has seized a sea-facing bungalow in Chennai, along with Rs. 82.5 lakh in cash and over a dozen luxury cars in connection with the case.
Earlier, Fatehi was questioned on multiple occasions to establish her connection with Chandrashekhar and his wife, actor Leena Maria Paul. Along with Fatehi, actor Jacqueline Fernandez has also been actively questioned and in fact, recently it was revealed in a chargesheet that both the actors had received expensive gifts from the couple.
According to the report, Fatehi revealed to the ED that Chandrashekhar gave her a BMW car and that his wife had given her a Gucci bag and an iPhone as a “token of love”. She was confronted with Chandrashekhar on October 14, when the gifts were discussed, the report adds.

After being questioned by the agency in October, Fatehi’s team had issued a statement that said “Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by the ED to strictly help with the investigation.”
Accused in as many as 21 cases, Chandrashekhar is said to have operated his extortion racket even when he was in Delhi’s Rohini jail.
