Actor Shriya Saran, who was last seen in the 2018 Telugu vigilante thriller film Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu, has announced the birth of her daughter with husband Andrei Koscheev.
Saran took to her Instagram handle on Monday to make the announcement.
The actor, who named her firstborn Radha, revealed that the child is nine months old during a chat with The Times of India. “I don’t think that I could’ve hidden her any longer. She’s already a well-travelled baby who has been to quite a few parts around the globe. I feel so happy; it’s like a child has given birth to a mother. Radha is my best friend,” she said.
Saran married her Russian boyfriend Koscheev in March 2018 in an intimate ceremony. According to her interview with TOI, the couple moved to Barcelona, Spain, where they spent the Covid-19 lockdown and subsequently decided to start a family.
She added that Radha is a planned baby. The actor further added that her daughter was born in Barcelona and hers was a normal delivery.
Saran, who has returned to Mumbai, said that she will once again appear in films. The couple moved back to India a few months ago and the actor said that Koscheev is planning to start a business in the country.
The actor also revealed that she will be working on a film titled A Musical School with Sharman Joshi. She noted that her mother will be looking after the child while she is away filming.

Meanwhile, Saran will appear in director SS Rajamouli‘s upcoming pan-Indian film RRR. The film, which is slated to hit theatres on January 7, 2022, features an ensemble star cast that includes Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan, and Junior NTR, among others.
Saran also added that she has the Telugu film Gamnam, which will be dubbed in multiple languages, including Hindi, in the pipeline.
