Rajendar was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Porur, and had been undergoing treatment for a few days. Silambarasan’s statement comes at a time when several reports were doing rounds about Rajendar’s deteriorating health condition. Silamabarasan, in his statement, confirmed that his father is conscious and doing well.

While the hospital has not issued a health bulletin so far, Silambarasan, on Tuesday, said  that his father had been undergoing treatment at the hospital after experiencing chest pain. In his statement, Silambarasan added that during a recent medical examination, doctors reported bleeding in the abdomen and advised the family to take Rajendar abroad for further medical treatment.

“He will soon recover and meet you all. Thank you, everyone, for your love and prayers,” the statement, addressed to fans, press, and others concluded.

Silambarasan’s mother, Usha Rajendar also confirmed to the media that Rajendar is doing fine and is conscious, but will be taken abroad for treatment. “We will be taking him for two days and once visa is finalised. He is perfectly fine, and Silambarasan wanted him to take a rest,” she said.
