Twitter India, on Monday, released the list of the 10 most tweeted about South Indian actors in 2020, with the hashtag #ThisHappened2020. While Keerthy Suresh and Mahesh Babu topped the list, Pawan Kalyan and Kajal Aggarwal followed them in the second position.
Jr NTR and Suriya were in the fourth and fifth position respectively in the male South Indian actor list, Allu Arjun took the sixth spot, followed by Ram Charan, Dhanush, Mohanlal, and Chiranjeevi.

The most tweeted actors from the female South Indian actor category was topped by Keerthy Suresh, and followed by Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Akkineni, Rashmika Mandana, Pooja Hegde, Taapsee Pannu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rakul Preet Singh, Shruti Haasan, and Trisha.
Incidentally, the two actors who topped their respective category lists, Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh, will be seen together for the first time in the film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, directed by Parasuram Petla.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s Master was the most tweeted about South Indian film in 2020. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.

Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab was the second most-tweeted South Indian film, and Ajith‘s Valimai and Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata were in the the third and fourth positions respectively. The rest of the list included, in order, Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, RRR, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru, KGF: Chapter 2, and Rajinikanth‘s Darbar.
Along with these, Twitter also released its top Twitter moments in India in 2020. These included Vijay’s selfie in Neyveli, which was the most retweeted tweet in 2020. While shooting for Master, Vijay had taken a selfie with hundreds of fans in Neyveli on February 10. The tweet was retweeted more than 1,45,000 times.
