Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their second child, a daughter, on June 4. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have named her Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, after Queen Elizabeth II and late Princess Diana.
She was born at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, USA.

Wishes poured in from members of the Royal family.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

Markle revealed that she was pregnant with a girl during the controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, when the couple opened up about their struggles and disappointments with the British Royal family.
Markle and Harry’s first child, two-year old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born on May 6, 2019. Markle revealed during the interview that a member of the Royal family was concerned about the “race” of the then unborn child. Choosing to keep the person anonymous, she said: “You won’t be given security, not gonna be given a title and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”
In a highly-debated move, the couple had stepped down from their royal responsibilities in March 2020 and relocated to Canada before settling in the US. The family members have not yet met Markle and Archie since then. Harry, however, met his family when he flew down to the UK in April to attend the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip.
