On the performances, Amala Paul and Yuvasri are all over the film and have done fairly well. With very little to do, Revathi, Samuthrakani and the students in school have put in their acting skills in right proportions. All the songs are shot like montages with a pleasant BGM, thanks to the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography and editing are clear and candid and overall, Amma Kannaku is a pleasing experience with a light hearted message and a gentle dedication to all the mothers of this society.
