Technically Madras is super strong with solid BGM by Santhosh Sivan, brilliant cinematography by Murali and excellent editing by Praveen KL.

Though the above said things are the positives, the ending of the film is not convincing. The film travels beautifully till the people bashing the opportunistic politician but after that it ended up in a hurry, when we step out the cinema hall the film gives a revenge drama feel. Guess towards end, the director has added some mass action elements to make sure that the film should be enjoyed by Karthi’s fan but these are minor compromises and one could ignore it.
Overall Madras is an excellent comeback film for Karthi, easily his best film after Paruthiveeran and Ayirathil oruvan.
