Vanavarayan Vallavarayan Movie Review – Galatta

Recommended

Rajamohan, the director, has woven a tale of comedy and a little sentiment around two brothers. The story is simple but the screenplay has been treated well and keeps moving with scene after scene evoking laughter. Kreshna is coming into his own as an actor and this movie will surely be a big break for him. MaKaPa Anand makes a very impressive debut and the chemistry that the two actors share is very good. Monal Gajjar looks pretty, but needs to improve a little with her emoting skills. The support cast comprising of established actors like Thambi Ramaiah, Kovai Sarala, Jayaprakash and Meera Krishnan have essayed their roles with ease. SP Charan makes his comeback onscreen with a neat performance as the heroine’s brother. The comedy sequences have come out very well and keep the viewers in splits throughout. Santhanam’s little cameo brings the roof down. He is hilarious with his one-liners and counters. Music by Yuvan is good, but the song placement could have been done with a little more care. A little trimming will make the movie all the more crisper.

Vaanavarayan Vallavarayan is a jolly comedy ride with a lot of sibling sentiment!
