Black Panther, the Marvel superhero film currently dominating all box-offices in the world, reportedly had a reference to Hanuman. This was, unsurprisingly, removed by the CBFC for the Indian audience. According to The Quint, in one of the scenes planted as an Easter egg for fans in India, M’Baku, the leader of a tribe called ‘Jabari’, makes a reference to Lord Hanuman and says “Glory to Hanuman”. This was beeped out by the CBFC in a bid to not offend any religion.

After the Hyderabad Police sent a notice to the makers of Malayalam film Oru Adaar Love seeking an explanation for the song ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ which seems to have offended several Muslim groups, the latest reports suggest that today, the Supreme Court might hear actress Priya Prakash Varrier’s plea to quash all FIRs and criminal proceedings against her.

Director Thiru’s Mr Chandramouli, a multi-starrer featuring father and son duo Karthik and Gautham Karthik, along with Regina Cassandra, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Sathish, is nearing completion. The film’s producer G Dhananjayan shared an update about the film, announcing that the shoot is all set to wrap up in a few days.
