While the film’s spokesperson says that the decision was motivated by public demand, a source tells Silverscreen that Lawrence wanted to avoid a direct clash with Maanagaram, a thriller getting good reviews from preview shows. Maanagaram will release on March 9, while MSKS will release on March 8.

Vishal is under a relentless attack from a group of producers miffed with his criticism of the TFPC. At a recent meeting, Vishal had talked at length about the inefficiency and mismanagement at the current TFPC board; and promised to change everything if he’s elected.
