D Cinemas, the multiplex that Malayalam actor Dileep owns, in Thrissur’s Chalakkudy, has had its licence cancelled. The business establishment had come under the scanner after allegations of land encroachment and irregularities in procuring documents came up.
Yesterday, the Chalakkudy Municipality’s special council decided to cancel the licence and the free hold right of D Cinemas. The decision to cancel both the documents was taken after it was found that both the documents were procured illegally.
Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar’s condition has gotten worse. Reports indicate that while the actor has been shifted to the ICU at Lilavati Hospital, his condition, particularly his kidneys, show no signs of improvement.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 102nd film has begun on a rather odd note after a video emerged showing the actor manhandling his assistant. The video was shot on the sets of his upcoming film directed by KS Ravikumar. In the footage, Balakrishna is seen hitting his assistant in the head while ordering him to remove his shoes. This has drawn a lot of criticism in social media.
Singer Yash Wadali has a complaint of molestation filed against him by a 39-year-old woman. The complaint was filed at Bangurnagar police station in suburban Goregaon. The alleged incident took place at around 5 pm at the residence of the complainant’s friend in Goregaon, where the singer and few other friends were also present.
