MOM
Five years after the comedy-drama English Vinglish (2012), actress Sridevi makes her comeback with MOM. MOM is a thriller directed by Ravi Udyavar and will also be Sridevi’s 300th film.
However, when asked about acting again after so long, Sridevi said, “I feel like it’s the first film, I feel like a newcomer. It’s a long way to go.” She was speaking at the film’s trailer launch, as reported by the Times of India.
The MOM trailer is reminiscent of Raveena Tandon Mitr, which released earlier this year. Both films seem to revolve around a mother’s fight to keep her daughter safe and well.
MOM also stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazzudin Siddiqui in pivotal roles, and has music composed by AR Rahman.
Ayal Sasi
In Ayaal Sasi, directed by Sajin Babu, actor Sreenivasan plays the titular role of Sasi. From the trailer, the story seems to revolve around an artist who seeks attention.
Sreenivasan has played similar roles in movies like Udhaynanu Tharam and Chindavishtayaya Shyamala.
Ayaal Sassi has been bankrolled by Sudish Pillai and P Sukumar. It will also feature Kochupreman, Anil Nedumangad, Sreekumar, Rajesh Sarma, and Divya Gopinath in prominent roles.
Tiyaan
Actor-brother duo Prithiviraj Sukumaran and Indrajith Sukumaran are back together in their next film, Tiyaan.
Directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, Tiyaan has been written by Murali Gopy, who also plays a pivotal role in it. The movie was earlier slated to release on June 29, but as actor Prithviraj described it, “it hit a roadblock with the censor board”.
#TIYAAN will not hit the theatres on 29th of June as we have hit a roadblock with the censor board. Will keep you…

Team 5
This is the movie that could bring former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth to the big screen in Malayalam cinema. Team 5 marks Sreesanth’s acting debut, following stints in reality shows and politics.
Sreesanth will play a bike racer in Team 5, which has been helmed by Suresh Govind. Speaking at the film’s trailer and audio launch in Hyderabad, as reported by The Hans India, Sreesanth said the film was about racing, love friendship, and the relationship between a brother and sister. He also said that it has an underlying message for society.
Team 5 stars Nikki Galrani as the female lead, along with Pearle Maaney and Makarand Deshpande in pivotal roles. The music has been composed by Gopi Sunder. The film is bankrolled by Celebs and Red Carpet production company.
